Spirit
Youth and Family Fellowship (SPYFF) meets on Wednesday
evenings starting at 5:15 pm during the school year and includes
craft time, choirs, Bible time, and supper. This is a wonderful
opportunity for children from kindergarten through high school
to come and learn more about Jesus, build relationships, and
grow in their spiritual journeys. Parents are welcome, too.

Spirit
Youth Worship is held at 6:30 pm (following SPYFF) on
Wednesday evenings during the school year. This is an upbeat
youth service which includes camp-style music, puppets, and a
message designed for the youth. |

Alpha is held on Sunday mornings during the school year.
This is a study designed for high school students to ask questions
and learn about the Bible as they grow in their faith journey.
Also discussed are current events, movies, etc. |

| Confirmation classes
are held Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm during the school year. This
is for 7th through 9th grade students and is an in-depth look at
their lives of faith, the teachings of the Lutheran Church, and
the Bible. |

Lutherdale Camp is a retreat camp for the youth
of area churches where our students can go to meet other youth,
learn about the Word of God, and enjoy many activities. |

Youth
Choirs:
Our Savior's Lutheran Church has a youth choir that meets on Wednesday
nights during SPYFF. All youth are invited to join us. |

National
Youth Gatherings:
Every three years the youth from the community are invited to go to the
National Youth Gathering. This is a wonderful time to gather with 20,000
other youth from across the country and see how faith is lived out in daily
life. The 2009 NYO will be held in New Orleans. |

Annual
Mission Trips:
Our youth take annual mission trips throughout the country where they can
use their gifts and learn about other people and the needs of the world.
We have gone to Chicago in the past and went to Denver in the summer of
2008. |

Sunday
School:
Sunday School classes meet at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings (following the
children’s sermon in the 9:30 am worship service.)Youth from 3 years
old up are invited to join us. |

Summer
Internship Program:
This program is designed to help college-age students learn more about
the church by working in the church for the summer. Students need to have
completed at least one year of college to apply. |

Vacation
Bible Study:
Vacation Bible Study was held August 11-14, 2008 from 5:15 pm to 7:30 pm.
The theme for this year was Veggie Tales "The Pirates Who Don't Do
Anything." Each day the kids learned about a different hero of the
Bible, but, VBS was not just for kids--it's an intergenerational family
event. VBS started with dinner at 5:15 and two different adult education
options were offered while the kids were doing their activities. VBS is
inspirational and fun for people of all ages. Please join in the fun. VBS
2009 details will be available in early summer 2009. |

First
Communion Classes:
First Communion Classes meet once a year, normally for 5th grade students.
Students are invited to attend a class where they learn about Holy Communion,
and after the class each student’s family chooses a date they’d
like to have their First Communion. |
