School sales are happening now! That makes this the best time
to buy the necessary supplies for the LWR school kits. The
list of supplies needed is in your July Messenger and on the Commons
bulletin board. LWR kit items collection containers are in the
Commons. Thanks for your FANTASTIC response so far!
Updates
on Pr. Erik’s health: Pastor Erik has
started chemotherapy and all has been going well for him. In order
to care for his immune system while going through chemo, he won’t be
shaking hands or greeting people after worship. Thanks for your
understanding. In order to keep everyone as informed as
possible, Pr. Erik is doing regular updates on his blog:
http://www.pastorefaithsteps.blogspot.com. We continue to ask for
your prayers and support during this time.
Silver Sneakers
has resumed on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. Nancy has two new
titanium knees and is ready to move! Join us for some great warm
ups, moving and cooling down. Bring a friend and join us on
Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship hall. Remember to
wear comfortable, giving clothing and tennis shoes so you can bend
and move with the class. See you for a great workout!

A new ministry, the
“Cancer Prayer
Support Group,” has started. This group
will meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays
of the month
at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel. Anyone who has been or is
battling cancer or knows someone who has
cancer is welcome to join us. We will
meet for an hour as a time of support and
prayer. If you have any questions,
please contact Pastor Erik.
Summer Choir is underway! Please join us!
We sing at 8:00 on July 25 and 9:30 on
August 1.
Practice is 30 minutes before the service.

Paint A Bowl Event:
Where: Beloit Farmer’s Market. When:
Saturdays - July 3, August 7, September 4,
October 2. Time: 8 a.m. to noon. Help
Caritas by making bowls for their Empty Bowl
international project to fight hunger.
Event attendees enjoy a simple meal of soup
made by a local restaurant and a handmade
ceramic bowl to take home in exchange for a
donation. Caritas will provide the
paint, clay, and tarp. You provide the
inspiration and creativity.

Grief Support
groups will begin at Beloit Regional Hospice,
655 Third St, Beloit, WI on Tuesday, July
6th from 6-7:30 p.m. Please register by

OSLC Grief Support that will
begin on Wednesday, July 7th at 1:30 p.m.
for seven weeks. There is no cost for
either grief support group.

bible study for adults, and
activities for children aged
3 through 6th grade. The
theme for the children is
Baobab Blast, an African
safari-inspired journey
where we’ll learn about
God’s Great Get Together and
learn more about God’s Word.
Down on the Farm:
It’s time to hike up
those heels, put on some
cowboy boots and head down
to the farm. EVERYONE is
invited for an evening on
the farm — tour a working
farm, enjoy a hayride, yummy
food, s’mores, and
