We believe that every person that comes to Our Savior's has been sent by God. We want you to feel welcomed, loved, and needed. We are eager to get to know you, and we are excited to share with you the many gifts with which God has blessed us.
It will not take long for you to discover that this is a place where you can find friends, hope, and a meaningful relationship with God. Growing together, we worship, serve, laugh, cry, and learn. If you have been searching for a place to belong, we say, Welcome to Our Savior's.
Our congregation confesses the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel (Good News) as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
Pastor Erik Jelinek
Length of service: I was ordained in 1997
and have been serving at Our Savior's since December 2003 with my wife and co-pastor Jennifer.
Favorite Bible passage: This is a tough one, since there so many and different passages speak to me at different parts of my life. The one the has been speaking to me the most lately is John 3:8 - The wind (spirit) blows where it chooses. The Spirit leads us to places and people we never expect and does such wonderful things in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
About me: I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and lived in a number of places before our family settled down in Billings, MT, where I spend most of my life. My mom stills lives in Billings, my sister and her two children live in Florida and my father passed away last in 2007. I am married to a wonderful woman who blesses me each and every day
and we have 2 wonderful daughters, Sierra and Scarlett, who keep
us young. This is the third parish I have served. My first was a two-point parish in Savage, MT. Then Pastor Jennifer and I served another two-point parish in Conrad, MT. I enjoy reading, biking, fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time with my family.

Favorite Bible passage: An unfair
question! Too many to choose from. Lately, I've been
especially fond of Romans 8:38-39. Even when we feel
furthest away from God, it reminds us that nothing we do,
and nothing else in all the world, can separate us from
About me: I grew up in Cedarburg, WI and
later graduated from Valparaiso University and Luther Seminary.
Pastor Erik and I met in seminary and have served together for
12 years, both in Montana, and here at Our Savior's. We have two
daughters - Sierra, who's 7, and Scarlett, who's 3. I've always
enjoyed being creative, especially in my writing, and in the
last few years, I've have fun writing a variety of dramas that
have been performed in worship here at OSLC. I think it's a fun
way to hear the Bible in new and more tangible ways. I also love
to sing and to spend time with my family. And I have a slight
affinity for cute (and reasonably-priced) shoes.

Favorite Bible passage: Psalm 118:24 -
“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be
glad” - I appreciate each and every day as a true gift.
About me: I am a life-long Beloiter, and
graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1981 and Blackhawk
Technical College in 1983. I have been employed by the School
District of Beloit (Beloit Memorial High School and Gaston

the Internal Operations Manager at Siepert & Co., LLP. I have
one daughter, Amber, who is married to Curtis, and they have a
beautiful little girl, Avalon. Being a grandma is the best! I
adopted two cats, Cooper and Shades, and they keep me very
entertained. I like to share my time by volunteering for Hands
of Faith. I have
been involved in a retreat program entitled TEC (Together
Encountering Christ) for over 20 years, and am active in my
parish at St. Thomas the Apostle in Beloit. My hobbies include
scrapbooking, rubber stamping, and organizing events. Thank you
for making me feel so welcomed here at Our Savior’s!

Favorite Bible Passage: Ps. 28:7 -" The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song I will praise him."

Length of Service: Since September 2009
Favorite Bible passage: Hebrews 11:1 -
"Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof
of what we cannot see."
About me: I grew up on a pig farm (love
it), but could not wait to spread my wings. I attended Wartburg
College in Waverly, Iowa and discovered there is truly no place
like home. I graduated in May 2009 with an Education Major and
came back home. I traveled to Germany for the summer of 2009 to
work with kids on U.S. military bases. I loved it and loved the
sight seeing, but learned even more how much I missed my family
and wanted to be back at home. So here I am working and living
in the Beloit area. I have been blessed to grow up with my
parents and brother in this church all my life, from being
baptized to first communion to being confirmed and in October I
will be married here as well. This is my home away from home.
Being the Youth and Family Director here has been a blast
because kids have always been my passion. I run a Wednesday
evening program called Kid's Club and this year we are twisting
the curriculum to match up with Kid's Kingdom which is our
Sunday School Program. Our theme is SHINE and I hope the kids
will be as excited as I am. In addition to working here, I am a
full-time elementary teacher. I taught first grade for the last
three years at Pecatonica Elementary School in Pecatonica, IL.
This upcoming 2012-2013 school year, I will be teaching third
grade and as my brother would say, 'Oh you are finally smart
enough to move up a few grade levels.' I look forward to all the
new exciting challenges ahead for this upcoming school year and
church school year. Best Blessings!

Favorite Bible passage: John 8:7 “So when they continued asking
him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is
without sin among you, let him cast a stone at her.” It is my
very first memory about the bible as a little girl. Maybe,
because it was a little scary to me but to this day I try really
hard to live by it.
I am married to Arlyn, and we have two daughters, Stephanie and
Sarah. For the last 15 years I have worked from home as a data
key operator and raised my girls. At times it was very
challenging to complete my work and be interrupted constantly by
2 little ones, but I was blessed to be able to be at home with
my girls and bring in a wage. My girls are now moving on to High
School and they don’t need me as much so I felt it was time to
work with people again. I am loving my new job and learning all
kinds of things I never thought I would.
Away from work I love being around my family, watching college
sports (especially Nebraska Football) and I am hoping to find
more time now to walk my crazy 2 year old Portuguese water dog,
