Quilting Bee meets every Monday morning where quilt makers gather
to assemble quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Donations of fabric,
blankets, and other material are always welcome. |
|
| Infant kits, school kits, etc are sent to less fortunate people
throughout the world. |
|
| Nursing Home Residents as well as many shut-ins from our congregation
receive Holy Communion for lay leaders in the church. We also participate
in worship services in area nursing homes on a regular basis. |
|
| Hands of Faith is a ministry we partner with the help provide housing
and meals for the homeless in the Beloit area. Every 12 weeks we
house a number of guests, provide activities for them to do in the
evenings, and provide meals for them. We also provide a Day Center
for Hands of Faith in the house next door to the church. |
|
| Latino Ministry is a growing ministry in the Beloit area. In order
to help reach out to this part of the population, we have partnered
with the Synod to provide a Latino Ministry Outreach program, and
help to support this ministry. |

| Adopt-a-school:
OSLC has “adopted” a local grade school. Every month we send letters
to the teachers and staff letting them know how much we appreciate
all their work. In the spring we host an end of year breakfast for
everyone who works at the school. |
|
| Adopt-a-nursing home: OSLC has adopted a local nursing home. Every month we bring seasonally related gifts to all the residents and at Christmas time we have a wish tree for the residents. The residents let us know what they want for Christmas and members of the church buy and wrap these gifts. They are given to the residents on Christmas Eve. |
